Zoe Hughes Named to Indiana’s Rising 30 — And We’re Not Surprised

Zoe Hughes, our Production Supervisor at MSP Manufacturing

We’re thrilled to share that Zoe Hughes, our Production Supervisor at MSP Manufacturing, has been named to the Conexus Indiana Rising 30 Class of 2025—a statewide honor celebrating Indiana’s next generation of leaders in advanced manufacturing and logistics.

Zoe was selected for her outstanding contributions to modernizing operations, improving quality systems, and building an award-worthy culture of collaboration. She joins a select group of young professionals under 30 who are reshaping the future of Indiana manufacturing.

Conexus Indiana, in partnership with Purdue University, launched Rising 30 to spotlight the brightest early-career talent in the state. Honorees like Zoe are recognized not just for what they’ve accomplished—but for how they’re leading us all into the next era of innovation.

A Leader Who Lifts Everyone Around Her

Zoe first walked through MSP’s doors as a high school intern from Bloomington High School South. That was ten years ago.

Since then, she’s played a central role in our evolution—from helping install new process controls to driving equipment upgrades and waste reduction efforts. Her leadership helped us achieve 45% revenue growth with just a 2% increase in expenses—a massive operational win by any standard.

Zoe’s technical chops are impressive, but it’s her people-first leadership that truly sets her apart. She brings out the best in her team by recognizing wins—big and small—and creating a work environment built on respect, collaboration, and pride.

Whether she’s mentoring a new hire or helping troubleshoot a tricky job, Zoe shows up with purpose and humility. Her approach isn’t about the spotlight—it’s about moving the whole team forward.

Zoe’s recognition is personal for us. It reflects the kind of culture we’re building at MSP—one where talent can rise, and leadership isn’t reserved for titles, but earned through action.

Johnny Goode, our President, said it best:
“Zoe represents the best of what MSP is. She works hard, leads with integrity, and brings others with her. We’re lucky to have her—and this award just confirms what we already know. She’s incredible.”

Part of Something Bigger

This year’s Rising 30 honorees come from across Indiana—from global companies to local family-run shops like ours. Together, they’ll serve as thought leaders in areas like workforce development and technology adoption.

On May 15, Zoe was celebrated alongside the full Class of 2025 at a special event in Indianapolis. She’s not just representing MSP—she’s helping represent what modern manufacturing in Indiana can look like: smart, inclusive, and built to last.

Zoe’s journey shows what happens when someone chooses to grow right where they’re planted. And we’re honored she chose to grow here, with us.

Zoe’s story is just one chapter in what makes MSP Manufacturing different. We believe in growing leaders from the inside. We believe in putting people first. And when we find someone like Zoe—who embodies everything we stand for—we make sure to celebrate them out loud.

Congrats, Zoe. We’re just getting started.

I’m on a mission to help job shops crush their marketing by building them a Radical brand that’s authentic to who they are and magnetic to those they want to attract.

My process empowers them to market their businesses simply and effectively without spending a fortune or wasting countless hours on social media.

Sharp, Shiny & Magnetic is how I operate. I believe that whatever energy you put out into the world, it has a ripple effect that consumes you and everyone around you, so I’m committed to making it the good kind.

I use my shiny disposition and sharp wit to help you source and shape your METAL–the stuff that makes your shop magnetic to the kinds of humans you want to have around you. I ask hard questions and go deep with my customers so that I can not only build them a Radical brand but help them OWN it and recognize their own Radicalness.
